Mexican Art - Alebrije Deer with Butterflies Necklace

Typical of the wonderful Mexican culture, alebrijes are considered guiding spirits, assisting each of us in our lives. They're usually depicted as several animals all joined together, but we thought we'd simplify things a bit and chose some of the most iconic animals.

This necklace is made of two sheets of acrylic/plexiglass + the butterfly details on the third layer. The base is transparent. The engravings are filled with acrylic paint.
